            Bug ID: 173285
           Summary: [Wayland] CharaChorder chords collision / input buffer
                    dropping characters with GTK3/Wayland VCL plugin
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.5.2 release
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: UI
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
Environment:

    OS: Linux (CachyOS)
    Display Server: Wayland
    Desktop Environment: KDE Plasma 6
    LibreOffice Version: 26.2.5.2
    Hardware: CharaChorder (ultra-fast input / chording device)

Description:
When using a CharaChorder device under a native Wayland session, LibreOffice
drops characters and suffers from chord collisions in text areas (Writer, Calc,
etc.).

Chording devices send multiple key events almost simultaneously. The default
GTK3 VCL backend (SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk3) on Wayland fails to correctly process
the incoming input buffer at high speeds, leading to missed keys, jumbled
words, or character dropping.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Connect a CharaChorder device under a Linux Wayland session.
2. Launch LibreOffice Writer natively using default settings (GTK3 backend on
Wayland).
3. Type using chorded input (simultaneous keypresses for full words) or
high-speed serial entry.

Actual Results:
Characters are dropped, inverted, or buffer collisions prevent the full word
from rendering correctly.

Expected Results:
LibreOffice should process fast simultaneous/queued key events without dropping
input, regardless of the VCL backend or display server protocol.

Reproducible: Sometimes

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
The issue disappears entirely when forcing Qt6 with XCB (XWayland). Running
LibreOffice with the following environment variables resolves all collision and
buffer issues:

```QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=kf6 libreoffice```
This confirms the issue is specifically tied to the Wayland input handling /
GTK3 integration layer (SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk3 or native Wayland input event
loop buffering in VCL).
