Hello LibreOffice Team,
I am experiencing a critical bug in LibreOffice Writer (version [Insert your
version here], running on Windows) regarding native document encryption.
When I save a document with a native password (via "Save with password"), the
file subsequently fails to open properly. Upon entering the correct password,
the application hangs permanently on a blank grey page without displaying an
hourglass or error message, effectively locking me out of the file and
corrupting accessibility.
To ensure the password itself wasn't the issue, I tested various simple
combinations without any special characters (such as my former dog's name or a
simple sequence of numbers). Whether using plain text words or numeric
sequences, the result remains identical: the system blocks on a grey screen
upon opening.
Since this affects core data security and file integrity, I wanted to report
this regression. Steps to reproduce:
Open an existing Writer document.
Save it using the native "Save with password" option (using a simple, standard
password without special characters).
Close and reopen the document, then enter the correct password.
Observe the grey screen freeze.
