This makes it difficult to work with dense excel files with border lines around the data as shown in the example attachment. I would highly recommend temporarily highlighting the cells (in light blue maybe?) that are being referenced by the formula to make it very easy to see exactly what is being selected. You can consider this as an accessibility feature.
