We support showing subtotals for field values for every row/record of a
PivotTable, individually via settings in each field's properties-options
dialog. But - there is no such command usable from a toolbar / Notebookbar Tab
(whether field-specific or pivot-table-wide). Also, the discoverability of the
per-field setting is lacking.
I suggest we have two commands, as well a toolbar widgets - one command for
subtotals of fields in rows and one for fields in columns - which enables or
disables them. UI-wise, there should be three states: no-subtotals,
not-uniform-subtotals-settings, all-subtotals (although one can wonder about
subtotals-on-top vs subtotals-on-bottom, but let's leave that out of this bug).
In MS Excel, this toggle has the form of items in a kind-of-a-drop-down menu on
the PivotTable Design (see attachment), also with the choice of whether
subtotals appear below or above.
