Related to bug 162300. Commenters there suggested I submit this as a separate
bug report.
PowerPoint PPTX files, such as those distributed by academic textbook publisher
Pearson, often have tables with "Header row" and other decorators selected, but
no Table Design. This is correctly loaded into Impress, and can be saved into
another PPTX file, or even exported to a PDF file. However, if saved as an ODP
file the decorators are stripped out.
This was discovered after editing a file, saving to ODP, then exporting to PDF,
and then to my school's LMS. The automatic accessibility checker by Ally then
reports any table without a row header as an error.
Technical commenters seem to assert that "Header row" can only be saved in
conjunction with a Table Design -- yet somehow Impress sends it correctly to
PPTX and PDF files, just not ODP files. Impress should ideally retain the
existing "Header row" (at. al.) settings from a table that had no Table Design
initially set.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open PPTX file from Pearson with a table.
2. Save as ODP file.
4. Close & reopen ODP file.
Actual Results:
At step 1.: Table has "Header row" selected but not Table Design.
At step 2.: Table still has "Header row" selected.
At step 3.: Table "Header row" is now missing.
Expected Results:
The "Header row" should be retained in the ODP saved file.
