Bug ID: 173525
Summary: Crash if LibreOffice is idle for too long
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.5.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: macOS (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
LibreOffice Writer was continuosly open and idle (no editing) for around 15 to
20 minutes (I was copying document by hand). Then, randomly, the file closed
and the file recovery screen popped up. Document was not lost because the
document had been saved. Reopened it. After 15-20 minutes again same problem.
Happened at least 3 times. Not extreme or fatal bug but annoying.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open libreoffice Writer and type out or open a document.
2. Leave libreoffice idle (no editing, just there) for 15+ minutes
3. Libreoffice will close the document and open file recovery screen after 15
minutes
Have not tried for calc or impress.
Actual Results:
LibreOffice closed the document after 15 minutes and opened file recovery
screen.
Expected Results:
The software should not have opened the file recovery screen and instead it
should have just kept showing the document like normal.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
