If possible, could you please check whether the behaviour observed with the following steps is the same as the reported issue? Please make sure to back up `registrymodifications.xcu` before performing these steps. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start LibreOffice in Troubleshooting Mode. 2. Right-click an .odt file in Windows Explorer. 3. Select Open with. 4. Select "LibreOffice Writer" (not "LibreOffice"). --- The .odt file is opened here. --- 5. Close LibreOffice running in Troubleshooting Mode. 6. Start LibreOffice in normal mode. Actual Result: `registrymodifications.xcu` is almost completely reset to its initial state. Its contents are almost identical to those of the temporary profile used in Troubleshooting Mode. I suspect that Step 4 may be the key to reproducing the issue. Selecting `soffice_safe.exe` at this point does not reproduce the issue. In contrast, selecting `swriter.exe` does. I also suspect that this behaviour may occur with applications other than Writer.
