--- Comment #4 from Ben van der Merwe <[email protected]> --- Retested using using LibreOffice 26.2.5.2. The issue is still preset: Start LibreOffice. On the left select Create, Math Formula. Click Tools, Special Character. >From Character Block, select "Greek and Coptic". Pick one of the characters. Click Insert. It inserts the character and the view closes. Click Tools, Special Character. The Character Block is back to the default "Basic Latin". At least it shows and remembers recent and the last character you inserted, which is really nice. Also the view is still modal. It would be nice if: - Each time you open the Special Characters view, it would remember the last Character Block you selected. - If the Special Characters view was not modal, so that you can move it to the side, keep it open, and then click on a spot in your formula, select and insert a character, click on another spot in your formula and click and insert another character there. Maybe a side panel or floating toolbar of sorts? The Symbols view has the exact same issues: Each time I open it, the "Symbol set" goes back to Arabic. Also it is modal, you can't insert a symbol, click on your formula somewhere else, and insert a different symbol somewhere else. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
