In Tools > Options > General > Appearance, one can choose the size of icons
(and hence, button) on the toolbars. However - this choice has essentially no
impact if one of the NBB UI modes is in effect, e.g. NBB Tabbed or
CompactTabbed: A few icons might go from regular size to smaller size, but most
won't change; and later changes have absolutely no effect.
Now, larger icons are important to users with impaired eyesight; and NBB Tabbed
is now a "first class" UI mode, so - it seems this support needs to be
implemented.
I note the strange discussion in bug 122799, where this behavior was mentioned;
the opposite suggestion was made (drop the icon resize capability); and it was
rejected.
