--- Comment #6 from Justin L <[email protected]> ---
Fixed in 27.2 by commit b1e3ade82eafb02bed93b9d707eff59adc544148

    tdf#172156 Writer hangs at 100% CPU when opening a DOCX with multiple
    Square-wrapped images in a single table cell

    A floating object follows the text flow and is anchored inside a table
    cell but is taller than the cell. It makes Writer's layout loop forever:
    positioning the object grows its cell to make it fit
    (SwToContentAnchoredObjectPosition::CalcPosition ->
    SwLayoutFrame::Grow), which grows the row, the table and the enclosing
    fly. That invalidates and re-positions the object, which grows the cell
    again... The object never fits, so the grow spiral never converges. The
    solution is to break the spiral. Count how often positioning a given
    anchored object grows its table cell, and once that exceeds a threshold
    - stop growing. The per-object counters are cleared in
    DocumentLayoutManager::ClearSwLayouterEntries, so never carry over into
    an unrelated/restarted layout pass.
