--- Comment #6 from John van Someren <[email protected]> --- I have not noticed an icon for the upgrade for LO Writer's full installation on the portable app. As it is two years since I reported this, I assume that the Portable Apps menuing feature is removing the warning on the portable version when the upgrade is nit relevant for it. I have just installed the full version to me PC and I will go carefully when executing it, making sure I notice when the full version has an upgrade available. Then I shall dive into the portable version and see if the portable version is showing the availability of an upgrade. I suggest you CLOSE this bug report.
