Thanks BogdanB, but I dont really see relationship with the topic.

Im underlining that from the "official source", I should be able to download
the software, upgrading it. We use the .deb packaging to allow users to simply
download install/update their software. Instead, even if from "same source",
when users use the .deb files, they find out to have multiple different
versions.

The entire industry follows the standard of "updating" an existing package,
without duplicating the software; we follow the RHEL baselines, but? We produce
deb/rpm packages that install different copies of the software? ... It is kind
a no-sense.

Im kindly raising the point of normalize the installation/update process of
deb/rpm packages.
