--- Comment #4 from Justin L <[email protected]> --- Created attachment 208661 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=208661&action=edit 167479_toc.odt: a minimal (and yet erratic) example created from scratch repro 27.2+ But the TOC on 'LOBugNoteWidowOrphan (4).odt' is not currently up to date. (And when you update the TOC - it loses the second heading 2 - reported as bug 173660.) So then this report is about a broken TOC that is differently broken when saved as DOCX. I managed to recreate a minimal example from scratch (with a working heading 1 and two working heading 2's). AFAICS the DOCX is just applying the differing tabstop values from Contents 1 and Contents 2 styles. But even in my example it is inconsistent. Contents 1 seems to be overridden by direct formatting, while Contents 2 does not apply direct formatting. It acts the same was as MS Word.. However, when "update index" (or any attempt to edit the TOC) is done on the DOCX, then everything is 'fixed up' because apparently update index ignores the tabstop directives and directly applies it's own. And in some cases it even modifies the style itself. So this bug report seems to mostly be irrelevant. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
