I don't think we can add as many features as users expected for each case that they use. If it is a very often used case that is follow by many, maybe we can analize. Imagine you have to develop this bug. Why to limit the stop of selection on an empty line, maybe a user want the selection to stop when lines have anoter character, like "~", or maybe a "@", and so on. Or maybe if there are 2 empty lines, and so on. Infinite cases. So, where is the limit where we develop new functions? So, the macro is all you need. Nowadays macro can be created easily with AI, and they can be used as we want. When we want. And can stop on a line that contains waht we want.
