Michael Weghorn proposed a change lightening it, but then it became possibly too light. IMNSHO, the surrounding frame should be the same as it was before, i.e. with the color picker as it was in 26.2, given that there was no decision to change it. Right now I feel the frames are somewhat distracting. Screenshots are available at bug 173578.
