I bisected this using the linux bibisect.
Interestingly, bug 128770 comment 9 suggests that some Linux users are able to
open the file. But I can't in development environment or in bibisects.
Aha - it is because I have the sidebar open at navigator. If I have the sidebar
set to something else, then it opens fine (but trying to switch to the
navigator causes a hang). Even if the sidebar is closed (but at the navigator
pane) then it freezes on load.
