Justin L <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |INVALID --- Comment #3 from Justin L <[email protected]> --- PrintDate: I don't think it is important to print an all zero date (instead of nothing) if the document has been printed. SaveDate: There is no format specified, so I expect this is up to the implementation to define it however they want. See bug 142464 for formatted example. You simply state that 'MERGEFORMAT' is a formatting switch, but don't go into any detail about it. Google says it means "Retains Formatting: When you update a field, Word applies the existing formatting of the previous result to the new result." But that is rather ambiguous. See bug 132475 and its patches. The DOCX you provided doesn't give any formatting instructions on how the text ought to look - no paragraph formatting, no character formatting, no date formatting. The only thing provided is the text that was last displayed. So it is completely implementation dependent on how it will look. <w:pPr> <w:rPr/> </w:pPr> <w:fldSimple w:instr=" SAVEDATE \* MERGEFORMAT "> <w:r> <w:rPr/> <w:t>13.04.2026 16:59:00</w:t> </w:r> </w:fldSimple> There is nothing in this bug report that is actionable. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
