--- Comment #3 from [email protected] --- I would like to clarify the issue with the "Use Pivot Table and Pivot Chart" option in the Protect Sheet dialog. Even when this option is enabled, pivot tables cannot be used properly on a protected sheet. **1. Pivot table filtering does not work** When I click the filter dropdown in the pivot table and try to select or deselect items, Calc displays the following error: "Protected cells cannot be modified." Therefore, although the filter dropdown is accessible, the filter cannot actually be applied. **2. Pivot table refresh does not work** When the source data changes, it is not possible to refresh the pivot table while the sheet is protected, even with "Use Pivot Table and Pivot Chart" enabled. **3. The filter option in the context menu is not a solution** Right-clicking the pivot table provides access to the standard Calc filter dialog, but this is not the pivot table's own filtering functionality. **Expected behavior** When "Use Pivot Table and Pivot Chart" is enabled in the Protect Sheet dialog, users should be able to: - Apply filters using the pivot table's own dropdown controls. - Refresh the pivot table when the source data changes. - Keep the rest of the worksheet protected against manual modifications. The purpose is to allow users to interact with and update pivot tables without having to unprotect the entire worksheet.
