--- Comment #3 from smurf <[email protected]> --- This is not so much a request "specifically for Calc" as a request that a feature which existed "specifically for Write" should exist in Calc as well. (Perhaps across the entire suite, but I only really use Calc and Write, so I limited my request to Calc.) Sorry for the confusion about that. The use case, at any rate, is the same for Calc as it is for Write. I would like documents to open at a user-controlled default zoom level which is suited to the user's eyes & computer setup instead of opening at some random zoom level reflecting the preference of whoever created and sent the original document. For example. Bob uses a laptop with a small screen, the computer is on his lap, relatively close to his eyes, he sets a 70% zoom level for a document, which works best for him and his setup. Jane has a 40" monitor on her desk, sits several feet away from the screen, and likes spreadsheets at 200% because that works best for her. When they share documents with each other, each would ideally like the documents to open at his/her preferred zoom level instead of having to adjust from the other person's preference. The problem of course gets worse in the real world, where spreadsheets may come from any number of different people/sources. The overall effect is that any given spreadsheet will open at a pseudorandom zoom level (based on the preference of whoever last saved it, or whichever system generated it), and most any spreadsheet one opens needs a manual zoom adjustment to one's preferred level before it can be used. Perhaps I should also mention that the documents being shared around are often in .xlsx format (or sometimes .csv) rather than .ods. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
