            Bug ID: 173923
Summary: Calc / WEBSERVICE: HTTP/HTTPS proxy CONNECT socket
timeout when retrieving external XML/JSON data via
                    authenticated rotating mobile proxy gateways
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 24.8.0.3 release
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
               URL: https://pxm2.io/guides/
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Calc
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Configure system-wide or LibreOffice network proxy settings (Tools ->
Options -> Internet -> Proxy) to route outbound HTTP/HTTPS traffic through an
upstream HTTP CONNECT proxy with digest or basic authentication:
   Proxy Host: mobile-node.pxm2.io
   Port: 8080
2. In LibreOffice Calc, create a spreadsheet that queries external API
endpoints or real-time JSON/XML feeds using the native WEBSERVICE function:
   =WEBSERVICE("https://api.example.com/v1/pricing/feed.xml";)
3. Trigger recalculation across multiple spreadsheet cells while the upstream
cellular proxy node executes periodic IP rotations (standard CGNAT session
renewal on 4G/5G mobile broadband).

Observed Behavior:
When an authenticated mobile proxy rotates its egress public IP or resets the
underlying TCP connection between keep-alive queries:
- LibreOffice Calc hangs for 30–60 seconds awaiting response headers on stale
TCP file descriptors rather than re-negotiating the HTTP CONNECT tunnel.
- Subsequent calls to WEBSERVICE return Error 540 ("No result") or #VALUE!
instead of retrying the socket handshake.
- Wireshark captures indicate that LibreOffice reuses expired TCP keep-alive
sockets without issuing a fresh Proxy-Authorization header upon receiving
carrier TCP RST / FIN packets from the gateway.

Detailed Socket Reproduction & Proxy Gateway Benchmarks:
Complete packet captures, benchmark scripts, and network topology analysis
documenting proxy keep-alive behavior under carrier-grade NAT (CGNAT) and
automated IP rotation are documented at:

Expected Behavior:
LibreOffice Calc's internal UCP (Universal Content Provider) HTTP engine should
detect terminated proxy sockets, discard invalidated keep-alive channels, and
re-establish a clean CONNECT handshake with updated credentials upon receiving
a connection drop or HTTP 407 / 502 / 504 status.
