            Bug ID: 173956
Summary: Editing diagram data range upon diagram selection by
                    dragging
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 3.3.0 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Calc
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
To edit the range of data a diagram uses, one needs to go through a right-click
menu to "Edit Data Ranges...".

This is sometimes hard to find [1], needs several steps and requires switching
between the spreadsheet and a property window.

We currently already highlight the range of data that the diagram uses; instead
of merely highlighting it, we could allow to move and drag the data range, just
like we can resize selections and update the diagram accordingly.

For users migrating from Excel, this will already be a familiar method of
changing the range.

Risks could be that the range is changed accidentally (as it can happen with
everything that is directly editable); given that there is immediate visual
feedback both in the range and in the diagram and the avaliablity of undo I
consider the risk to be low.

[1] see e.g.
https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/how-do-i-edit-the-ranges-etc-in-a-chart/77029

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a diagram that uses a data range
2. Select the diagram
3. Double-click the diagram

Actual Results:
On 2, nothing related to the range happens; on 3 we get a range highlight, but
no handle to resize

Expected Results:
On 2 we could show a range highlight with a handle for resizing.

Reproducible: Always
