LO on macOS has always struggled with re-entrant threads, because as I understand it, everything in a macOS app is supposed to be run off the main thread, so it could be that there are some mutex guard/release issues going on here with storetoURL, unoSave, and loadfromURL relative to the main thread, or that there are race conditions being generated which cause LO to hang.
