            Bug ID: 173999
Summary: Calc chart: changing a data series to a similar line
color unexpectedly changes another series' color
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.8.1.1 release
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: medium
         Component: Calc
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
When editing the line color of a data series in a Calc chart, setting it to a
color identical or very similar to that of another series unexpectedly changes
the other series' color to a different one.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a chart in Calc containing at least two data series with lines.
2. Open the formatting dialog for Series 1.
3. Set the line style to Solid and the line color to #004586.
4. Confirm the changes.
5. Open the formatting dialog for Series 2.
6. Set the line style to Dashed and the line color to #004586.
7. Confirm the changes.

Actual Results:
Series 1 unexpectedly changes its line color to green.

Opening the formatting dialog for Series 1 confirms that its stored color has
also changed. This is therefore not merely a visual rendering issue.

The problem also occurs when assigning similar, but not identical, colors to
the two series, for example:
- Series 1: #004586
- Series 2: #014687

The problem does not occur when using clearly different colors, such as blue
(#004586) and red (#FF0000).

Expected Results:
Changing the line color or line style of Series 2 should not modify the color
assigned to Series 1.

Each data series should retain its independently configured line color and line
style, regardless of whether the colors assigned to different series are
identical or similar.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
The issue has been reproduced consistently using the steps above.
The chart is editable, and the color change can be verified directly in the
data series formatting dialog.
I have not yet determined whether this issue affects other LibreOffice versions
or installation methods.
