--- Comment #9 from Paul Welton <[email protected]> ---
Hi Bogdan,

When this bug occurred it occurred sporadically, about 1 in 25 executions of
the solver, and unrelated to any known detail of the problem I was solving. I
tried today, using 26.2.6.3, about 15 attempts, but didn't manage to cause a
crash.

I am no longer using LibraOffice for this work as I now have a custom Java app
for the task.

The bug may have been fixed as I reported it against 25.2.3.2

I reported the bug because when crashes occur, dialogues are displayed asking
me to do so and I want to help if I can.

I think this is best addressed by yourselves setting up "soak testing" of the
application. As you have access to the code you can set a loop to continuously
run the solver over and over again, possibly varying some parameters. As just a
user I can't do this as there is no way to script or automate initiating the
solver.

To reiterate this bug only happens 1 in approx 25 executions of the solver and
is unrelated to the particular problem being solved, although the task I was
doing was quite intensive requiring a minutes execution of the solver which
must use the non-linear option and Differential Evolution. Incidentally, the
options menu (attached) shows the solving time limit as 60000 seconds, but I
think it means milliseconds, or 1 minute, which is the time it actually takes.

Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.

regards,

Paul
