Bug ID: 174034
Summary: Parent Spelling Window becomes transparent at the
bottom obscuring the last row of buttons
Product: LibreOffice
Version: unspecified
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: medium
Component: Linguistic
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
LibreOffice Writer .odt file
- I highlight a word,
- click A in the top menu line to check spelling, it displays a 'No dictionary
available' (even though multiple dictionaries have been installed),
-Select 'Options', to show the list of (5) user-defined dictionaries...
In the background the parent spelling window has become transparent at the
bottom (8mm or so) which obscures the buttons - only the top border of each is
visible.
- close the Options window and the transparency remains PLUS moving the window
displays a slightly magnified view of the text below.
This appears to be a minor bug but may be connected to other spell-check
related bugs.
System details as follows:
LibreOffice: version 25.2.3.2 (x86_64)
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 6.12
UI render: default; VCL: kf6 (cairo + wayland)
Debian package version 4:25.2.3-2+deb13u8
Having to rely exclusively on my ability to spell is a challenge when deadlines
loom, but not impossible, as I wrote this is a minor bug and I expect it to
receive a low priority.
Best of luck.
