Description:
configure accepts --disable-curl (and requires --without-webdav and friends
with it), but the build then stops, because svl and uui use the curl external
unconditionally on Linux, macOS, Android and iOS:
solenv/gbuild/Package.mk:83: *** Library/libmergedlo.dylib
Library/libsvllo.dylib Library/libmergedlo.dylib Library/libuuilo.dylib
depend(s) on package curl which does not exist.. Stop.
- svl/Library_svl.mk line 25 lists curl in gb_Library_use_externals for LINUX
MACOSX ANDROID iOS %BSD SOLARIS HAIKU, without checking ENABLE_CURL. The user
is svl/source/crypto/cryptosign.cxx.
- uui/Library_uui.mk line 20 has gb_Library_use_external,uui,curl
unconditionally. The only user is uui/source/iahndl-oauth2-win.cxx, which is
Windows only.
Seen on 26.8.1.1 for Android arm64 and macOS arm64. Both makefiles are
unchanged on master as of 2026-10-15 (commit 6e8329f204dd).
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Check out tag libreoffice-26.8.1.1.
2. ./autogen.sh --disable-curl --without-webdav --disable-libcmis
--disable-online-update --disable-breakpad
3. make
Actual Results:
The build stops with the Package.mk error quoted above.
Expected Results:
Either the build succeeds without curl (with the features that need curl left
out), or configure refuses --disable-curl on platforms where it cannot work.
