Bug ID: 174063
Summary: LOCALHELP: /ui/sheetprintpage/ is titled "Classeur”
(rather than “Feuille”) in French
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.6.3 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: medium
Component: Documentation
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
The H1 element on
https://help.libreoffice.org/26.2/fr/text/scalc/01/05070500.html contains
"Classeur”, even though the browser title is correct (“Feuille”).
The English version is correct (“Sheet”):
https://help.libreoffice.org/26.2/en-US/text/scalc/01/05070500.html
This is probably a translation mistake due to the confusing terminology Calc
uses. Compare https://books.libreoffice.org/en/CG262/CG26201-Introduction.html:
> Calc works with documents called spreadsheets. Spreadsheets consist of a
> number of individual sheets, each sheet containing cells arranged in rows and
> columns.
…with
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/images/8/8c/CG6401FR-Introduction.pdf:
> Calc fonctionne avec des documents appelés classeurs. Les classeurs se
> composent d’un certain nombre de feuilles individuelles, chaque feuille
> contenant des cellules disposées en lignes et en colonnes.
In other words, Calc calls a workbook a “spreadsheet”. But when it refers to
just a ”sheet”, it means a worksheet.
By the way, “sours” should read “sous”.
