            Bug ID: 174071
Summary: Function AMORDEGRC does not belong ODF
           Product: LibreOffice

          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal

spreadsheet with the examples from the help

The function AMORDEGRC is not specified in ODF. But LibreOffice writes it as
simple table:formula="of:=AMORDEGRC(...)". Instead it would have to be
something like "of:=ORG.OPENOFFICE.AMORDEGRC(...)". The error is not visible in
validation based on the schema, because the schema specifies for the value of
attribute table:formula the data type `string`.

At the time, the feature was not included in the standard for good reason, read
discussion in https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OFFICE-2258. And today the
function is deprecated in Excel and in LibreOffice as well (bug 169638).

So what to do? We cannot remove the function totally, because we need to be
able to read old documents. My suggestion is, that we remove the function from
the UI and disable its use in macros. It would be nice to have a warning when
opening a document with this function and a warning when a user tries to use
the function. However, I don't know if that's technically possible with a
reasonable amount of effort.
