Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the attached layout-index-filled-picture.pptx in LibreOffice Impress.
2. Inspect the first slide.
Actual results:
The slide placeholders inherit geometry from the wrong placeholder in the
master. In the attached two-column example, both columns can be placed on top
of the left column.
Expected results:
A slide placeholder should first inherit from the placeholder with the same idx
in its slide layout. Type-based matching should remain the fallback for master
placeholders.
Reproducibility:
This reproduces consistently with the attached file.
Version:
LibreOffice current master, tested at commit 57b88b46e (2026-10-13). The same
behavior was observed in LibreOffice 26.8.1.1.
Additional information:
The attached file is a minimal synthetic reproduction and contains no
proprietary content. The issue affects PPTX import in Impress.
