--- Comment #19 from Jim Avera <[email protected]> --- Note this _is_ a specific enhancement request, please see the Description. --USE CASE-- The use case which led me to submit this is: Generate a "member data" document containing data about individuals in an organization, with each members' data in a separate but touching table. The data number of rows needed to represent the data for any individual varies unpredictably. The document is _generated_ using an app which reads a database. In my case, the app is written in Perl using the comprehensive ODF::lpOD and ODF::lpOD_Helper library modules, but the same thing could in principle be done using LO macros. Data blocks should not be split unnecessarily, and so "allow table to be split" is disabled in each of the tables (recall there is one table per data block). a THICK OUTER BORDER is desired around each data block. However there is no way to prevent ugly doubling if the tables touch. The requested enhancement would make "merge adjacent line styles" work if the "adjacent" line was in an adjacent table, solving this problem. --DISCUSSION-- AFAIK there is no "allow page break between these specific rows and not between any other rows" feature, and so the only way to limit page breaks to occur between specified rows is to put the pair of rows in separate touching tables. The proposed enhancement would allow this to play well with borders. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
