            Bug ID: 174135
Summary: Draw: SVG images are treated with a bounding box and
background instead of vector shape boundaries when
                    applying borders or changing colors
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Draw
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
In LibreOffice Draw, when inserting an image in SVG format and then attempting
to add a frame or change its color, the program adds a square frame around the
entire image (treating the empty or transparent background as part of the
image), and changes the color of the empty background as well. In contrast,
Microsoft Office handles these images correctly by changing only the actual
image color and adding a border around the actual boundaries of the element
rather than the background. The goal is to treat SVG images like shapes in
LibreOffice.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open LibreOffice Draw.
2. Insert any image in SVG format.
3. Attempt to change the image color or add a frame/border around it.

Actual Results:
The program adds a square frame surrounding the entire image including the
empty background, and changes the color of the empty background when attempting
to change the color.

Expected Results:
LibreOffice should treat SVG images like shapes, applying the frame and color
changes only to the actual boundaries of the graphic content rather than the
background area, just like in Microsoft Office.

Reproducible: Always
