            Bug ID: 174202
Summary: Impress on Windows crashes in d3d9.dll (0xc0000005 at
d3d9.dll+0x5ffa3) a few seconds into video playback
when another LibreOffice window is open (e.g. slide
show started via UNO API, or Start Center open)
COMPONENT: Impress (also seen when inserting vid
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.8.1.1 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Impress
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
soffice.bin crashes with an access violation inside d3d9.dll while a video
plays in Impress.
The fault is identical in every crash (60+ crashes logged on this machine):

    Faulting application: soffice.bin 26.8.1.1
    Faulting module: d3d9.dll 10.0.26100.9549
    Exception code: 0xc0000005
    Fault offset: 0x000000000005ffa3

Media modules loaded at the time of the crash (from the Windows Error Report):
mfplay.dll, mfplat.dll, mfreadwrite.dll, d3d9.dll, d3d11.dll, dxgi.dll
(mfplay.dll and d3d9.dll are both 10.0.26100.9549.)

The crash is not tied to the end of the clip: with a 20 s clip it crashes 8-11
s into playback.

When the slide show is the only LibreOffice window, playback works: "soffice
--show deck.odp" with
nothing else open played the same 20 s clip for 40 s without a crash (several
runs).

WHAT DID NOT CHANGE THE RESULT
- Clip length (4 s and 20 s clips both crash; the 20 s clip crashes
mid-playback).
- Which display shows the slide show (both displays are on the same Intel GPU).
- Loading the document hidden or visible, and hiding or showing the document
window.
- Calling the API from the UNO bridge thread or from the main thread (via
com.sun.star.awt.AsyncCallback).
- Looping the video.
- SAL_DISABLESKIA=1 and SAL_DISABLEGL=1 (tested in an earlier round of tests).

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Through the UNO API (3 out of 3 runs crashed, 8.6-9.6 s after the video slide
was shown)
   1. Start LibreOffice listening on a socket:
        soffice.exe --norestore --nologo --nodefault
"--accept=socket,host=localhost,port=2002;urp;"
   2. Run the attached script with LibreOffice's bundled Python:
        "C:\Program Files\LibreOffice\program\python.exe"
repro_api_slideshow_video.py clip_640x360_20s.mp4
The script creates a 2-slide presentation with the attached clip on slide
2, calls
      XPresentation.start(), then XSlideShowController.gotoSlideIndex(1).
2. Without the API (2 out of 2 runs crashed, about 4 s into playback)
   1. Create a presentation whose first slide holds the attached
clip_640x360_20s.mp4, save it as deck.odp.
   2. Close LibreOffice. Start LibreOffice so the Start Center is open.
   3. From a command prompt run: soffice.exe --show deck.odp
(Running step 3 with no Start Center open - with soffice --nodefault already
running, or with no
LibreOffice running at all - did NOT crash.)
3. In the editor (1 out of 1)
   1. File > New > Presentation.
   2. Insert > Audio or Video..., choose an MP4 (H.264/AAC, 360x640), keep
"Link" unticked.
   3. LibreOffice crashes while the video is being inserted. Same
d3d9.dll+0x5ffa3 fault.

Actual Results:
soffice.bin terminates with 0xc0000005 in d3d9.dll. The Document Recovery
dialog appears on the next start.

Expected Results:
The video plays to the end and LibreOffice keeps running.
