--- Comment #28 from Faruk Kösoğlu <[email protected]> --- ### Additional test of the Lightproof workaround I tested the workaround mentioned in comment 17 using an isolated LibreOffice 26.8.2.2 administrative installation on Windows 11 build 26300. I renamed: `share\extensions\dict-en\Lightproof.components` to: `share\extensions\dict-en\Lightproof.components.old` I then launched Writer without the `--language=en-US` parameter, using a fresh, isolated user profile. Writer still became unresponsive after approximately 10 seconds. I restored the original filename immediately after the test. In my environment, this workaround did not resolve the hang. This result, together with the previously reported debugger stack involving `ucrtbase!call_wsetlocale`, `msvcp140!std::_Locinfo::_Locinfo_Addcats`, and LibreOffice menu-bar initialization, may help distinguish this case from other reports with similar symptoms. The `--language=en-US` workaround continues to work in my tests.
