            Bug ID: 174247
Summary: ext copied from LibreOffice Writer cannot be pasted
into Apple Pages (paste silently does nothing)
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.8.2.2 release
          Hardware: ARM
                OS: macOS (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
Text copied from LibreOffice Writer cannot be pasted into Apple Pages using
standard keyboard or menu commands.

Additional info (as drafted by Claude.ai, with which I interacted in order to
run tests)

Pasting the same clipboard into Apple Notes works.

Pasting into TextEdit, then copying from TextEdit and pasting into Pages,
works.

Typing "osascript -e 'clipboard info'" into Terminal straight after copying
from Writer returns:
«class RTF », 6224, «class HTML», 911, «class utf8», 228, string, 15, Unicode
text, 448
The legacy string type (15 bytes) looks much shorter than the UTF-8 text (228
bytes), which may mean it’s truncated.

In Terminal, running "pbpaste -Prefer rtf | pbcopy" after copying from Writer,
so the clipboard is rewritten by Apple’s own tool, makes the paste into Pages
work.

Conclusion: The content LibreOffice puts on the clipboard is valid (Notes
accepts it, and Pages accepts it once rewritten by pbcopy), but Pages will not
paste it as LibreOffice supplies it. The cause may be one of the clipboard
types LibreOffice offers, possibly the short legacy string type, or how they
are offered. I don’t know whether the fault is in LibreOffice’s clipboard
output or in how Pages reads it.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.In LibreOffice Writer, select some text and copy (⌘C).
2.In Apple Pages, paste (⌘V) into a document.

Actual Results:
Text is not pasted into Apple Pages

Expected Results:
Text should pasted

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
LibreOffice Version is 26.8.8.2 (AARCH64)
