            Bug ID: 174249
Summary: Make image anchor "As Character" the default
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.6.3 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

When copy/pasting an image, upon pasting, the image is -by default- placed on
the top of the page in Writer, even if the cursor is lower on the page.

Suggestion: I think it would be more user-friendly if the image would -by
default- be pasted on the line where the user's cursor is.

In other words: currently, the out of the box setting in Writer for the image
anchor (Menu>Tools>Options>LibreOffice>LibreOffice Writer>Formatting aids>Image
- Anchor) is set to: "To Character". My suggestion would be to make "As
Character" the default. I think this is the behavior the average user would
expect.

Default config:
Actual: "To Character"
Desired: "As Character"
