--- Comment #21 from Justin L <[email protected]> ---
bug 152711 is now (supposedly) solved, but I still repro in 27.2+

I followed the steps in comment 16. The 'Elegant' table style has a 'Body'
element that defines Liberation Sans 12pt as the font. Those properties are
applied directly (as per comment 3) whenever the table style is (re)applied,
and thus override the paragraph style.

In MS Word however, paragraph styles (including the 'Normal' PS) override the
table style's font and paragraph properties! But by default 'Normal' doesn't
redefine the document's default font, etc. So Table styles DO override document
properties, but NOT things set in paragraph styles.

That's easy to prove in MS Word. Just change the 'Normal' style to use a
different font, and all of the table's content will change to that font.

So ultimately this bug report is asking for LibreOffice to place table styles
into the hierarchy of style inheritance instead of being used as a template.

 0. Application properties
 1. Document Properties
 2. Table style
 3. Paragraph style
 4. Character style
 5. direct formatting (where LO effectively currently places table styles)
