            Bug ID: 174268
Summary: Calc: threaded XLSX loading reports Err:522 for a
                    workbook without circular references
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 7.2.0.4 release
          Hardware: ARM
                OS: macOS (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Calc
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
The attached five-column, 100-row recurrence reports circular references during
threaded file loading. Dependencies run only within the same row or to the
previous row; there is no cycle.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In Calc Settings/Options > Calc > Formula, set Excel 2007 and newer to
Always recalculate. Enable multi-threaded calculation under Calc > Calculate;
disable OpenCL if available.
2. Restart LibreOffice, then open threaded-false-circular-reference.xlsx.
3. Inspect C3 and rows 4–5 before editing or recalculating.

Actual Results:
C3 shows Err:522. The error spreads through later rows; 392 of 500 data cells
are incorrect.

Expected Results:
Every row in A2:E101 should contain 1, 0, 1, 1, 1, without errors.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
macOS 27.0.1 ARM64: fails in 7.2.0.4, 7.2.7.2, 7.6.7.2, 26.8.0.3 and
27.2.0.0.alpha0+ master 7528c0d40601 (2026-10-31).
Linux ARM64: fails in 7.3.7.2 (Ubuntu 22.04); passes in 6.0.7.3 (Ubuntu 18.04)
and 6.1.6.3 (Ubuntu 18.10). Current master was not tested on Linux.
Fresh-profile automated load tests, OpenCL off. Disabling threading before
reopening, or Recalculate Hard after loading, gives correct results. Reducing
to 99 data rows also passes. Introduction commit unknown.
Checked bug 124270 (VERIFIED FIXED, formula-group cycle detection): its
original attachment no longer gives Err:522 on master, while this file does.
Bug 128329 is an open report of broader calculation failures including Err:522.
Exact duplication unconfirmed.
