Current behavior: existing update check is confusing and does not allow direct
download let alone easy install.
Expected behavior: LibreOffice should use Sparkle on OS X with three appcasts
files. The channels could be analogue to Firefox Stable / beta / nightly.
If you want to see sparkle in action it is integrated into tons of software on
OS X and free to use:

E.g. in Transmission.
Allow users how often to check for updates and which release channel they want
to be on.
