--- Comment #15 from Uncombed5936 <[email protected]> --- Similar situation here but with a twist. When I open certain docx documents some of the text is displayed as white on white as the OP says. But, then, certain other docx files suddenly start behaving the same way -- ie some of the text turns white on white. Most other docx files are not affected. For example, 'Screenshot of document showing OK' is what I see before I open the document the OP shared. 'Screenshot of same document with white fonts' is what I see when the document the OP shared is running. As you can see, the text affected is always non-regular (ie bold or italics). Also, it seems to affect the regular Aptos font, but not Aptos Light, Liberation Sans or other fonts. I have tried quite a few fonts and I notice the OP's document also uses Aptos. There is no Aptos substitution here. On a few occasions, there was a subheading in bold and some of the words became invisible but others remained visible with character spacing varying from character to character. It doesn't matter which document I open first. Even if I open the OP's document second, when I scroll up/down in my document to force Writer to repaint text, certain text will turn white. We can tell the invisible text is there because the spellchecker's red underline shows where the misspelt text would be. Also, I can copy the invisible text to Kate successfully. Same thing happens with Writer in dark mode (see 'Screenshot of invisible text in dark mode'). >From different combinations I've seen, it feels like the styles from certain open documents affect the styles from certain other documents. I have checked styles but I don't see anything unusual. The problem is that you can't be absolutely sure there isn't important text missing.
