I didn't install LO "over" OO. LO installed itself into its own program
directory with its own profile directory (as it should). These programs should
be able to coexist - the only (easily resolved) conflict being: deciding which
one opens when clicking "its" files (e.g. MyFile.odt).

Users rarely do what some (often wrongly) call an unwise choice. I actually
consider this to be a very likely and "wise" method for users to see if they
want to keep LO before they uninstall OO.

Yes, that would determine is the bug is caused by installing LO while OO is
already installed and/or having the default template folder be at another
location.

Unfortunately, I don't have the time to test this scenario.

BTW: I would not consider making the user uninstall OO before installing LO to
be a solution to this bug.

Thanks!
