Priority: medium
Bug ID: 68351
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Bullet # or Letter Does Not Reset After New Heading
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.1.0.4 release
Component: Writer
Product: LibreOffice
Created attachment 84355
--> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=84355&action=edit
Sample File
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open writer
2. Write text on two lines ("test" and "test 2")
3. Set text to Heading 2
4. Put cursor at end of line 1 ("test")
5. Push enter to enter a new line
6. Start bullets/outline mode (use one of the bullet settings that have numbers
or letters not just points)
7. Write text after number 1 (or letter A, roman numeral I, w/e style you have
chosen)
8. Put cursor at end of line 3 ("test 2")
9. Push enter
10. Start bullets/outline mode again
Result:
You'll see that the numbering does not reset as you would expect
Expected:
Numbering should restart at A, 1, or I depending on what mode you chose
This makes using outline mode within a long detailed document with multiple
headings/sub headings virtually impossible.
Marking as:
Normal: Can prevent high quality and/or professional quality work
High: makes outlines + headings impossible/useless
Attached: example file
Likely a dupe (I'd be shocked if not already reported) but a quick check and I
couldn't find one
