I can tell you this bug has been annoying me really a lot. Maybe some users do not click at the vertical scroll bar at all, but I use it constantly to revise documents in Writer. It makes the scroll bar unusable even in rather short documents. This kind of bugs gives a very bad impression of the product to MacOS users.
