If you are manually selecting a date format, then yes it works.  But you are
not supposed to have to manually tag anything as a date, it should
automatically detect that it is a date if the "Detect Special Characters" is
active.  But it doesn't.  That is what is broken...

(Even if all columns say "Standard" in the text import dialog, it should
automatically detect dates if "Detect special characters" is selected".  It no
longer does this)
