I tried these before trying to rebuild libreoffice on my own system as I needed to get things going without too much fuss. They work very well with the latest postgresql 9.2 versions. My guess is that with Slackware, there are some shared libraries missing that are required for the mainstream LibreOffice builds. The bug can probably be closed at this point.
