Hi Jean,

You haven't got my point: I do NOT want to expand the node that I am moving.
Let its subnodes be hidden- No issues with that!

But the problem is that the entire "Headings" node collapses.
This hides the entire structure of the document.

Not only that, but LO also loses the focus from the node that is being moved.
(In other words, it is no longer selected.)

So when I promote a node for the first time, the "Headings" node should not
collapse, and the node should stay selected. Then I can click on the "Promote"
button rapidly to bring the node quickly to a new position in the tree.

*****
BTW I tried the new 4.1.2.2 (RC2) version, but the "Headings" node still
collapses. Are you sure it does not collapse in your case?

Sorry I don't agree regarding your view as "not a bug". It is definitely
usability bug. If I have to move a node, why do I have to try so hard? Even if
some designer INTENDED it to behave exactly like this, still it does not make
it a usable design.

Imagine having a car where the doors are bolted, and you have to enter through
window. If someone objects, will you say this is as designed, and request for a
handle is an enhancement "at most"?

Changing status to New.

Regards,
Narayan
