Sorry but if the "fix" is as simple as a compiler flag (or a compiler version upgrade), then tracking the issue in BZ certainly is appropriate and in the best interest of the project. This is especially true for the Windows and OS X builds where substantive QA and UX feedback will only occur if the project infrastructure provides functional TB builds for testing.
