Priority: medium
Bug ID: 70205
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: FILESAVE: FILESAVE: (Re-)Export as .xlsx messes up
colors for Excel
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.1.2.3 rc
Component: Spreadsheet
Product: LibreOffice
Created attachment 87203

Shows reasonable cell/text colors in LibreOffice, horrible in Excel (2008)
Problem description:
Cell background colors saved to .xlsx files appear horribly changed in Excel.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a spreadsheet with background colors in Excel 2008 for Mac (I have
not tested with other Excel versions)
2. Open this .xlsx file in LibreOffice
3. Change a number in the file
4. Save back as .xlsx
Current behavior:
The colors as shown in Excel after saving have very little resemblance to the
original colors. Opening the .xlsx file in LibreOffice, however, still shows
the original colors. So it seems that Excel (2008) and LibreOffice use
different information to render the colors.
Expected behavior:
The colors should be the same in both documents.
Operating System: Mac OS X
Version: 4.1.2.3 rc
