https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70211
Priority: medium
Bug ID: 70211
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Other: Example inventory.odb not provided on
Documentation page
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 3.4 all versions
Component: Documentation
Product: LibreOffice
Problem description:
On p.48 of of the Introduction chapter of the Base Guide v3.4 (Note: NOT the
Base Handbook) the text states:
>The database we have been creating, Inventory.odb with added data, is
>available on line at:
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Documentation/Publications. You may wish to
download it and compare what you have created with it.
Unfortunately though this old example file is not available on that page. I am
raising this bug as a result of a user query on the AskLO site:
http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/23657/where-can-i-find-the-file-inventoryodb-stated-in-the-base-guide/
Whether the few old v3.4 ODT/PDF files are removed or the example ODB file
provided I will leave to the Documentation team to decide, but clearly this is
inconsistent and these old guides are evidently being used.
Current behavior:
Link to example ODB is missing from Documentation web page.
Expected behavior:
Link to example ODB is provided on the Documentation web page.
Operating System: All
Version: 3.4 all versions
