Priority: medium
Bug ID: 70239
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: PIVOTTABLE: Can't create a pivot table from an
existing mysql datasource
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.0.2.2 release
Component: Spreadsheet
Product: LibreOffice
Problem description:
An attempt to create a pivot table based on a table in a working MySql
datasource results in an error dialog:
"Error accessing data source '[my datasource name]':
com.sun.star.lang.WrappedTargetException: [path to odb file defining the
datasource]"
The pivot table dialog appears when this dialog is dismissed but there are no
fields available.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a datasource/ODB file for a local mysql database. Verify that data in
the database can be viewed in Libreoffice Base.
2. Open Libreoffice Calc and select Data|Pivot Table|Create...
3. Select 'Data source registered in LibreOffice', select the database and type
in a table name (note, I tried the table name on its own and also prefixed with
the database name, e.g.: 'tablename' and 'database.tablename'. Select
Type/Sheet.
Current behavior:
An error dialog is displayed, with the error message detailed above.
Expected behavior:
The pivot table editor is populated with column names.
Additional Information:
OS: Linux Mint 15
Mysql: mysql-server-5.5
Mysql connector: In /usr/share/java, mysql-connector-java-5.1.16.jar and
mysql.jar are present. The mysql.jar file has a version number 5.1.16 in its
manifest.
