Mathieu - that commit isn't going do to anything :-) the best thing to do is to
use the sysinternals process monitor from MS to see what takes & holds that
lock.
Having said that - I -suspect- that this is (perhaps) partly just a performance
bug that I'm committing a fix for to master shortly.
I'd love testing of a master build on windows that includes the fix for
fdo#56007.
